A full day off road adventure for artists to paint in remote settings of the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Features a catered lunch, two painting locations, an evening toast and a glorious sunset. Location California Overland Adventure.

Location: The Old Desert Club

This is an historic location recently rejuvenated through renovation.  The Mid Century architecture will be inspiring to experience a desert era of timeless beauty. 

The Old Desert Club is an Architectural Gem and a founding element in the design and intention of the Borrego Springs Community.   Our Host John Scranton has graciously offered the grounds as a location for Artists to paint  throughout the day.   The views are magnificent and the building itself is a grand feature.

The property will soon be represented through Sothebys International MLS.   This is a special opportunity to experience the past... made present.

A reception at de Anza Country Club with cocktails & hors deurves, exclusive and premier display, silent auction select completed paintings and a Jean Stern book sales / signing 4:30pm.

A lecture titled Painters Of The Desert - Then And Now by Mr. Jean Stern, Executive Director of the Irvine Museum 5:30pm (200 capacity). Click here for more information on this lecture as well as Jean Stern's bio.

Gala dinner 7:00pm (purchase tickets, 140 capacity).

Paint out at Christmas Circle 9:00am - 12:00pm. Artists work to be brought to Borrego Art Institute Main Gallery by 10:00am. Gala reception and awards 5:30pm. Location Borrego Art Institute.
